✨I have something very exciting to share!
As a new homeschool parent, I got plenty of advice from people still in the thick of it. But I kept asking myself….
“How do I know this actually works out for their kids?”
That question led me to start the Tried & True Homeschooling Podcast—where I talk with parents who’ve been there, done that, and successfully graduated their kids.
These aren’t influencers. They’re not selling you a curriculum or a lifestyle. They’re not speaking in hypotheticals. These are real families who’ve faced hard days and beautiful ones, who made mistakes and kept going, who’ve seen the long-term outcomes of their choices—and are here to share their wisdom with you.
✨Who You’ll Hear From
I’ve been so honored to sit down with an amazingly diverse group of veteran homeschoolers, including:
Rigorous homeschoolers and unschoolers—and everyone in between
Rural homestead families and Urban entrepreneurs
Families homeschooling 6 or more kids and those focused on just one
Single moms making it work on a tight schedule and budget
Families who homeschooled every grade, and families who homeschooled only high school
Parents of children with dyslexia, ADHD, and other special needs
I even interviewed a few former homeschoolers who are now homeschooling their own children—showcasing how modern families are updating their parent’s approach
By hearing from so many parents with so many approaches, you’ll see how each form of education shaped those children’s futures—from college and career paths to launching businesses and finding their own definition of success.
✨What You’ll Learn
Every single conversation left me with something valuable. Sometimes it was a practical strategy I could use. Other times, it was a mindset shift that reshaped how I think about parenting and education. But every interview gave me a piece of wisdom I didn’t have before.
✨You’ll hear…
How different philosophies (from structured to free-form) impact college, careers, and adult life
Habits that build joyful learning and family connections
Creative solutions for kids who learn differently
How to manage homeschooling a large family or diverse age ranges
Ways to build community and support—even as a single parent
Their favorite curricula and resources
And so much more ♥️
✨When & Where to Listen

In the Substack app, subscribe below if you aren’t already.
Or on podcast platforms Spotify & Pocket Casts.
🌺I’m thrilled to kick things off with a pioneer homeschool mom of six!
While managing chronic illness and natural disasters, she created a life full of learning and adventure for her kids—from spontaneous lessons with local doctors to the day a neighbor discovered a mammoth skeleton in their yard. Dawnita’s story is full of heart, humor, and wisdom. She’s such a treasure. I hope you learn as much from her as I have.
✨These stories have changed me, how I parent, & how I homeschool.
I can’t wait to share them with you—and I know you’ll walk away inspired, reassured, and knowing: YOU CAN DO THIS!
See you on Tuesday!
