My 8-year-old is deep into geology right now, so I picked up the one for our state (Arizona)… and WOW. The kids LOVED these - ok everyone loved these!
It turns your drive into a real-life scavenger hunt. You’ll be scouring the country-side for limestone or 18 million old mountains! It’s like “I Spy,” but more educational and interesting - one can only spy Mama’s shirt so many times.
We especially loved learning that some of the mountains we drove past were once underwater—turned out, we were driving through an ancient ocean!
Even my oldest, who was initially meh on the whole geology thing, kept saying: “I love this book.” Will be doing this every trip from now on!
